Mums are the best. They are there to keep us warm, keep us fed and be a shoulder to cry on as and when is necessary. It might because you’ve scraped your knee falling off your scooter or, when you’re a little older, to wipe away the tears of a broken relationship. They will always have a tissue and a shoulder ready.
Regardless of what the world throws at you she will always be there to praise your achievements and console you when disappointment occurs. They are the person who believes in you and sees your potential. What does Mum ask in return? Well, absolutely nothing, because she’s your Mum. That makes Mother’s Day the perfect chance to say thank you for all the things that she does and has done over the years. All the little things done with no need for gratitude should be recognised.
So think about a card, flowers and perhaps a little gift. Maybe even a little piece of jewellery or pendant. However, you can’t really go wrong with a nice big hug and a ‘thank you’ whispered into her ear. Just take the chance on Mother's Day, March 3rd, to make her realise you have noticed all those little things and you are grateful for all she’s done for you. After all, Mum is the best!
